Hi there, I'm Betsy Shampo!
My teaching -
I have been a teacher for the early elementary grades for 25+ years. I have lived in Niagara all of my life, other than my college years which were spent in Sheboygan, WI at Lakeland College. Before teaching at Niagara I taught for some years in the Pembine school district. After many years of guiding, supporting, encouraging, and teaching, I still love my career choice and greatly enjoy the daily adventures of the children! When you do what you love you never work a day in your life and I am happy that even after all of these years I still don't go to "work" everyday.
My family -
I have two wonderful children that I'm sure your child will have the pleasure to meet at sometime during the school year, they visit when they can! My son, Ian, works as a lineman and resides in Niagara. My daughter, Corrina, is currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point where she is studying Occupational Therapy.
I have a very close knit family, beyond my children, as well. I grew up in a family of 7 kids and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I also am lucky enough to say that I teach side-by-side (or classroom-by-classroom) with my sister, Mrs. Butler.

Me -
When I'm forced to have the summer off I keep myself quite busy. I'm a garden and yard project enthusiast. You can always find me in my garage or yard with the radio LOUD and if I'm not there I'm probably at my mom's house helping out with her yard work!
